I will be using this new syringe I found on Ebay for an upcoming photoshoot.  Pretty cool I thought.  This new shot will be titles drug bust.  I have the drug part down, now I need the bust.  Considering going CGI on this one.

Vulcan Ears

Got some Vulcan ears in the mail. This is for an ongoing "sticky moments" project. Conceptualized and art directed by Chris Garvey. I have high hopes for this project.

Photographing some personal work. Flying water on black.  This tends to be more of an exercise in lighting more than anything else. It can be tricky to light water on black because of the constant changing angles of the liquid and its transparant qualities.

Show at Chiat Day

Elizabeth Poje + Assoc. had a show at Chiat Day Thursday.  It was great to see familiar faces and reconnect with some of the Art Buyers there. They are crazy busy and it looks hopeful for future work.  I was stunned to learn they went to Japan to shoot a catalog of bottles for G2. Wish I had a shot at that one, but there are always more opportunities. I met one of the newest photographers in the Poje stable, Tracy Spence. lovely lady, I see bright things in her future.
My quest to shoot Apple continues. I made a few new contacts and am another inch closer in the mile of space between myself and Apple.  This is driving me to shoot new work and continue to improve.

In Chicago

I am in Chicago with my rep Stephanie Godfrey. My wife and son were also able to make the trip. They have been touring the city while I tour the Ad agencies. We have had several full days of meeting and lots of promising conversations with Art directors and Art Buyers. Chicago is a beautiful city, especially when its 70 degrees and sunny. Apparantly a rare thing here , however we are happy to have picked a good week. More meetings tomorrow as well as drinks with some creatives.
What chicago trip would be complete without an  abstract photograph of the Bean.

Finally got around to doing little retouching on the liquid lightning bolt. I think its pretty cool.

I may reshoot it though, could look better on a dark background. I am kinda bummed I don't see all the really nice highlights on the liquid because its so hi key.

SuperChill

recently completed a superchill project for Sprite. Worked with hundreds of pounds of ice and liquid nitrogen. For a vending machine that chills your bottle of sprite to 6 B lo right before giving it to you.
Can't show the images yet, or I may be hunted down by almighty Coca Cola corporation.
